Chuck and Carmen Weinknecht
Chuck Weinknecht has loved growing crops since he was little. He has always wanted to farm. When he turned 16 he planted his first crop. After high school, he went to Olds College in Alberta, Canada to become a crop advisor on the prairies. He went on to pass the Western Canadian and International Certified Crop Advisor exams and became a crop advisor for two years before deciding to farm full time.
Chuck is married and has been blessed with three beautiful daughters -- Keauna, Jayde, and Myah. He has served on a church elders board, worked with youth, and served doing street ministry and evangelism in the inner city. He has a heart for missions (local and international), for the lost, for the orphans and for the church as a whole.
Carmen Weinknecht graduated with a Diploma in Professional Photography from SIAST College. Carmen's passion for photography comes from a desire to capture moments in life in order to look back on and remember. She stays home for now, raising her three daughters and attending to the home and farm yard.
Adoption had always been a burning passion on Carmen's heart. In 2013, God set everything into motion and just a year later the Weinknecht's welcomed their first daughter into the family by adoption. Three years later, they welcomed their biological twin daughters into the world!
Carmen is passionate about social justice, especially in the areas of trafficked and orphaned children. She is a member of Hope Restored Canada, which works to eradicate sexual exploitation and trafficking to create a world where humanity is renewed and restored. She has spent time on an outreach bus, reaching out with love, hot drinks and food to vulnerable children, women and the homeless. Amongst all of her travels she has also spent time serving in an orphanage in Guatemala. Her passion for social justice comes from trying to see people through God’s eyes and loving them just us He loves us ( 1 John 4:19).
Churck and Carmen are both dedicated to the work New Reality International does and are honored and thankful for the opportunity to serve. They believe that their faith and life experiences can be used to help other people and to glorify God.
