Project #1 "Wings for the World" Zenith STOL CH 801
White Horse Aviation is a project of NRI that was created by Dr. Joel Mickelwait who is a dentist and CFII with a passion for mission aviation and medical relief for the poorest of the poor. The goal of the project is to be the vehicle by which love and healing is carried to those in need. The project will enable New Reality International and our partner organizations on the ground to provide health care services, medical evacuations, supplies and food to some of the most impoverished and inaccessible regions of the world. Many areas where NRI would like to provide services lack adequate transportation infrastructure: roads are crowded, dangerous, rough, muddy, overgrown, narrow, or simply nonexistent. Having aircraft capabilities would enable NRI to conduct medical evacuations, transport medical volunteers quickly and safely into remote areas, help transport supplies and more.
The WHA Wings for the World project has a vision to see a fleet of Zenith STOL CH 801's reaching these communities with the help they so desperately need.

Why the Zenith STOL CH 801?
The Zenith STOL CH 801 is an affordable sport utility aircraft designed to provide maximum short-field performance and rough field capability. The Zenith STOL CH 801 is a four-seat aircraft with a useful load of 1000 lbs (450 kg.) which is ideal for relief work purposes as it can be used as a multi-purpose cargo-hauling bush plane. The Zenith STOL CH 801 has proven its usefulness and functionality as a relief mission plane as it is in use by various international relief NGO’s in various regions in Africa and South America.
Built of durable all-metal construction, the Zenith STOL CH 801 can be kept outside in various weather systems and is designed to provide the durability and ruggedness required of an "off-airport" bush plane. In addition, the STOL CH 801 is quick and easy to build and can be maintained at a low cost. A stretcher can fit easily in the Zenith STOL CH 801 which is crucial for medical evacuation flights. In addition, the 801 engine will take automotive fuel, drastically reducing operation costs and increasing availability.
