NEW REALITY INTERNATIONAL MISSION STATEMENT:
New Reality International (NRI) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to providing physical, emotional and spiritual healing to those suffering from extreme poverty, disease and injustice worldwide.
NEW REALITY INTERNATIONAL VISION STATEMENT:
New Reality International seeks to accomplish our mission by working in unity with like-minded individuals, corporations, governments, churches, service organizations and relief organizations. We believe that it is in cooperation that the greatest feats can be achieved.
The concept of New Reality International was inspired by the biblical teachings of Jesus that instruct us to engage in acts of mercy, live a life of sacrificial love, to care for the poor and to lift up the oppressed. The motto of NRI is "Serve. Love. Live." We seek to serve the poorest of the poor from hearts full of love, and in doing so, give life to ourselves and those we aid.
NEW REALITY INTERNATIONAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
New Reality International was founded in 2007 and since then has been able to directly serve an estimated fifteen thousand patients with health education, medical care, dental care and surgical care. In addition, and thanks to the support of our donors, NRI has been able to provide thousands of pounds of food, clothing, medical supplies, and hygiene supplies to communities suffering from extreme poverty in the countries we serve.
Our volunteer surgical teams have provided free care to patients who are not able to afford the surgeries they desperately need. In many cases the operations our teams performed were life saving.
Our volunteer dental teams have been able to relieve the ongoing and severe pain of thousands of patients suffering from infected and abscessing teeth. We have witnessed time and time again the joy that patients experience as they become pain free for the first time in years, while learning oral healthcare for future prevention.
Our other skilled volunteer medical teams have treated thousands of patients in a variety of settings. These patients either have no access to medical care or cannot afford the cost of treatment and diagnosis. Our medical teams also work alongside national practitioners in clinical and non-clinical settings in order to better equip and train them to serve their communities effectively.
In 2011 NRI began the launch of an Aviation Program lead by Dr. Joel Mickelwait who is a dentist, pilot and flight instructor. The goal of the program is to provide aviation services to poverty stricken communities that are not easily accessible by other means in order to provide medical services, medical evacuations and supplies. Instead of utilizing larger, more expensive aircraft, the Wings for the World program will utilize small, low cost Zenith CH 801 utility bush planes. This concept will enable the program to reach many more communities on a much smaller budget than the larger aviation operations. Dear Friends,
I want to thank you for your interest in this organization. Helping the poorest of the poor has been a dream of mine for many years and I am so excited to see this dream becoming a REALITY. I know that I am not the only one with this passion and that is why I am sure if you are reading this note, you and I have a great deal in common. I want you to know that I value every idea, comment, donation, or word of encouragement and you can be sure that with NRI your voice will not get "lost" in the shuffle. I also want you to know that your donations will never get swallowed up by big bureaucracy, excessive salaries, or administrative costs. We all work as volunteers for NRI and we run this organization with little to no overhead costs. That is why you can be sure that every donation goes to help those who truly need your support.
